It is a less well crafted macOS experience, paired with some substantial other changes (local vaults, subscriptions, etc). I can even appreciate how this improves the experience for people who interact with 1password in Linux or Windows. What bothers me most is the fact they have been so dismissive of the feedback from their users. As I said in my email to directly to them, I understand the goals of this change.
